The short answer is yes. Coaching isn’t a service, it’s a partnership. This means I’m as invested in your success as you are. Clients who are willing to do the work develop a powerful physical presence, and a dynamic vocal delivery that will serve you well in any situation.

As a licensed and certified speech voice scientist, with over 18 years of experience as an Executive Speech Coach, the methods I employ are based on proven techniques. My process starts with a Discovery Interview to assess your needs, goals, and level of motivation.

Q. Why should I hire an Executive Speech Coach?

As a licensed and certified speech voice scientist who specializes in technique-focused vocal coaching, it’s my mission to make great speaking second nature to you. I can equip you with the preparation and vocal techniques to develop you as an advanced communicator and to give you lifelong communication confidence.

Q. How do I get started?

Step one: Discovery Interview

I learn your strengths, weaknesses, wants, and needs to structure a personalized program to guide your communication from basic speaking to advanced communication. My Discovery Interview is thorough. It will include data gathered from our initial consult, online questionnaires, consultation with other professionals on your team (as necessary), and audio and video recording samples.

I compile this information to create a comprehensive, customized private coaching schedule tailored to your needs.

Step two: Advanced Spoken Communication Analysis

I’ll propose a number of goals and outcomes you can reasonably achieve during the duration of your coaching program. Our coaching schedule will specify the training modules, skills development, daily check-ins, and weekly homework.

Step three: Agreement

Once you’re ready to commit, we’ll schedule a follow-up session to review the proposed dates, times, and results you can expect upon completing your program. Payment in full is required on the first date of service.

Q. Will I get a refund if I don’t like the classes?

Laura’s thorough Discovery process will help you decide if coaching is right for you. In 18 years of coaching, Laura has successfully designed a program for the client’s needs taking into consideration your budget, timeline for completion, and reasonable goals. Once you begin services, you are committed for the duration of the coaching timeline.

Laura has never experienced a client requesting a refund for classes. In the rare event of an extraordinary circumstance that prevents you from starting or completing the program, Laura is willing to work with clients on a case-by-case basis to resolve payment issues.

If you decide Laura’s coaching is not the right fit for you after the coaching consult, she is more than willing to provide a referral within her network to a coach who may better suit your needs.

Q. What is the time commitment and location for coaching?

Coaching services include 90-minute individual coaching sessions, 4-week programs, and 6-week programs. Laura provides hybrid coaching on Zoom, in-person coaching at her office in East Memphis, or on-site at your location. Additional travel fees apply.

Q. What if I need just a few hours of consultation?

I’m available to individuals last minute for “target” coaching for a specific project, or follow-up to previous coaching. I’m available to groups and corporations on a consultative basis as well. Please email to inquire about these arrangements.

Q. What happens if I need to cancel a scheduled session?

Getting a great outcome requires accountability and consistency. Pre-scheduled sessions to designate a particular date and time are key to successful outcomes. However, if you need flexibility, I can accommodate you.

I prefer a 24-hour notice for rescheduled sessions, but I understand there could be an unexepcted time when you’ll have to cancel on very short notice. Laura will work with you to reschedule at a date and time that is mutually convenient.
